Sedum is the plant most commonly used to colonise green roofs. Sedums are low growing, drought tolerant plants that adapt readily to life at roof level. They will thrive in a shallow, free draining growing medium and are wind, drought and frost resistant.
At McLaw Living Roofs we grow our own sedum to ensure that it is well rooted with a careful mix of different sub-species to give a beautiful contrast of colour and texture. It is this careful planning that results in a Living Roof that will be beautiful to look at for many years to come.
